AU week 2016
Instead of being one of the handful of survivors of the mage uprising at Kinloch Hold, nineteen-year-old Knight-Templar Cullen was one of the casualties.
Sort of.
Something distracted the demons holding court just outside the Harrowing Chamber, on the top floor of the tower, and after the rest of his fellow templars were dead, they just... forgot about him.
Everyone forgot about him.
And as he was on the edge of death for want of water, his pain drew attention from the other side of the Veil. Instead of a demon, however, Cullen was visited by a spirit of Compassion.
He isn't quite Cullen any more. Nor is he Compassion. He wants to help people who are in distress. He can hear the thoughts of people who need help, and he can choose whether people can see him. Unless he makes himself visible, only powers that can suppress magic will reveal him. And he is capable of -- and likely to -- making people forget they ever saw him.
(In other words -- spoilers for Dragon Age: Inquisition in the link -- Cullen is Cole.)
